Love this book! Though it is fictional I learned a lot about the tudor era in England and what types of things went on in the court. My favorite of Gregoria's books. Read this before the movie came out and the novel is much better! I was engrossed in the drama of these characters.

Re-read January 2013. It's been a while since I read this book for the first time. Even though I knew the major events that took place, I was still captivated by the writing and drama in this novel. It is a dramatic story that incorporates all the "rumors" about the Boleyns. Still one of my favorite novels of P.G. I listened to the audio book and greatly enjoyed it. 5 stars again!

It's been a long time since I first read this series, but it was no less enjoyable now that I'm a little older. I listened to the audiobook this time and it was really wonderful to hear the narrator tell this story. It was more like a bedtime story that way and made it even better IMO. I love the characters of Lucy, Susan, and Peter as well as the many animal characters (especially the Beaver family). This really is a timeless series and I hope everyone gets a chance to read it.

I really liked this book. It's a collection of stories of four Chinese mothers and their Chinese-American daughters. It was so interesting to hear the differences in the lifes of the mothers in China (and America) and the daughters in San Francisco. Though, both seemed to have a lot of hardship in their lives. It was sad to read so much disconnect in the relationship between them. Beautifully written and enjoyable to listen to.
