Another really fun and heartfelt mystery with characters that I love. Friendship is such a big factor in this story and I love how much Hayden cares about his friends that he is willing to jump into danger to try and prove them innocent. There are lot of moving parts and interesting characters in this book that made it so interesting to read. I loved the description of the different performance acts and people in the show. I was completely baffled as to what really happened and loved the dramatic reveal and ending. Not only drama and danger, but there are lots of laughs along the way.
What I also really love in this book is the emphasis on how someone's gender identity or sexuality is of course important, but only one small aspect and there is so much more to someone and they shouldn't be only thought of by that one factor. There is also a lot of introspection via Hayden's blog posts about how important it is to accept change and also love yourself before looking for love.
Note: I listened to the audiobook and it is fantastic! highly recommend!

I loved this book! The perfect follow up that we didn't know we needed for The Appeal. This doesn’t have to be a holiday book at all and can be enjoyed anytime after The Appeal! I loved THE APPEAL and this one was just as wonderful. It’s amazing how easily the characters are brought to life just from their correspondence and I was captivated by this epistolary style of storytelling! It had me constantly cracking up.
I highly recommend reading THE APPEAL and then this one for more mystery and laughs!

This was a good book, but I just wasn't as hooked and I thought I would be. I learned a lot about certain perspectives of the Greek's civil war and current struggles. However, it was gorier and darker than I had thought. I just wasn't all that interested in the actual "story" or characters (other than Antigone), which could be because it jumped around a lot. Enjoyed learning about Greek "traditions" though.
If I had rated this book halfway through the "introduction" I would have given it a lower rating. However, as I read more it got slightly better to me. My favorite part of this book was reading The Tragedy of Arthur by "Shakespeare". The rest of the book didn't appeal to me as much and maybe that is because this is the first book by Arthur Phillips I have read and I'm not used to his style. However, Arthur really annoyed be (which was probably his point and therefore he executed it very well). I just couldnt stand how selfish Arthur was and got so annoyed at him at times that I ended up skimming far a page or two and then having to go back and re-read. Arthur was always demanding love from everyone, his sister (who loved him anyway) his mother his farther, Petra. But when his father expressed his love or gave him praise Arthur immediately criticized it and rejected it. I just wanted to shake him and say GET OVER YOURSELF. Learn to accept love from those around you even if it's flawed because no one is perfect. I really did enjoy the play though and actually read it twice. This was an okay book, but it dragged on too much for me.
This book was tremendously funny, I could not stop listening. I love Tina's style of comedy and her sarcastic humor that is not too dry. So entertaining and made me laugh out loud many times. I loved the insight into her life and her career, especially what it is like to work for SNL and produce her own show. Recommend to everyone!
