This book was an emotional ride. It was deep and complex, but also funny at times. Mae and Ari are unique kids that have a unique relationship that grows, stretches, reforms over their life and I loved so much reading about it. All of the characters are fabulous. There is trauma and pain, but also joy and hope. There are second, third, fourth chances. They break so many norms and conventions and the more they live their truths the happier they are. They are not immune to jealousy or selfishness, but as they grow, the mature and adapt. I don't want to spoil anything, but at first the characters drove me a bit nuts (teenagers you know) and by the end I am so connected with them that I was sharing all their emotions!

I loved being back in this series and watching Katie prep for her wedding, meeting with her magical friends and helping to solve this murder. It took so many twists and turns that I was never sure what the truth was. The DRAMA was high - poor Katie goes through a lottt in this book and the ending was both resolution and cliff hanger. I also appreciate so much that the detective treats her well and asks for her help and accepts her powers, without being rude or dismissive. I cannot wait to see where it goes from here.

DNF at 40% because I am bored. The romance is not romancing. I do like the descriptions of the time and setting, but even that was very light and not enough to give me a good picture or keep me interested.

I really enjoyed this book. It was extremely character lead, so it was a bit slow at first setting the scene and introducing a bunch of important people. But the writing is wonderful and you find yourself slowly becoming quite attached to these characters as you learn more about their history and how they tick. It was quite an emotional book and one that definitely takes a slower reading pace to really absorb everything. I loved the varying pace of the chapters, sometimes wandering into memory and sometimes dropping you right into drama or danger. I honestly teared up at one point and that's when I knew I was hooked more by the characters than the mystery, though I did enjoy the reveal! The dash of romance was also lovely and I can't wait for more of this series!

This was a tense and satisfying thriller. I am wary of books that involve Uber rich/important/self important families, but this one actually didn't make me want to punch ALL the characters, which is a win. I love how supportive Connor was of Theo and how he doesn't let his family bully her or make her feel less then (this seems to be rare in this trope). Theo is mysterious, but you soon learn why and the more I learn about her past and her choices, the more I loved and empathized with her. This book had some great twists and turns ESPECIALLY at the end; it kept my head spinning for sure. A perfect thriller for winter with locked room vibes (except dangerous abandoned mounted with no cell service).
Note: I listened to the audiobook and love this narrator so I enjoyed it a lot!

I love this series!! Murderbot is just so smart, relatable, and hilarious with their dry humor. I love that they're trying to figure out what happened in the past and I am so intrigued by this entire world. I love that Murderbot is funny and terrifying and will do their best to protect humans even if they have no real allegiance to them.

This was so much fun! I loved both Angel and Iris equally and enjoyed both of the POVs so much. Angel is the chillest celebrity ever and such a sweetheart; he recognizes and celebrates his roots and upbringing, but is learning to keep that from holding back his dreams. Iris is crushing it at being a single mom as she still grieves for her late husband and also chases her dreams, with the support of a wonderful family. Their chemistry was perfection and the forbidden romance trope was so well done. I love how they connected first and how that added to their passion. I love how much growth both of them had throughout this book and I swooooooned every time Angel wrote lyrics or A WHOLE FREAKING SONG for Iris.

This book had all of my favorite tropes and was so much fun to read. I was immediately sucked in by the sunshine and grumpy vibes and could not wait to see how these strangers that barely interacted would end up together. The kids were adorable and hilarious and their story was heartbreaking. I love seeing Carter learn to be a caregiver and a partner at the same time. The scenes with the pig absolutely cracked me up. The spicy scenes were amazing and I could keep reading on and on about this couple. This book was light on the hockey, but I didn't care because I was so enamored by the romance and Suki (and her hilarious and loyal friends). I also loooove that it was a novella, just the perfect length to not put this book down!

This was thrilling fun and so much personality from this murderbot. I felt so much for him and his past and love how he wanted to change himself so nothing bad happened to humans if he could help him. He's also completely terrifying but just wants to watch his shows. Adorable. Love this!
Aaaamazing. Obbbbsessed. I was hooked on this book from the very first chapter. The writing, the emotions, the drama, the MC - boom done. And it only got better and better. I love this magical world - so interesting, so much more can unfold, and incredibly easy to follow. Picturing the vicious and kind MC with all her animals was captivating. Silver and his crew, seeing his motivations and glimpses of his past, you can just feel for these kids. I could not stop reading, I was completely obsessed and totally shocked by each twist and where the story went. This was a non-stop heart pounding, action filled book. I LOVED the ending, and I cannot wait for more! This is going to be SUCH a fun series!
