Oh my goodness I loved this!! I have been in such a slump lately and DNFing books left and right. I feel like Bride has cured me. This was such a cute book!! I felt so seen by the main character and was rooting for her throughout. I loved getting her POV, but I also loved the MMC POV previews we got with each chapter. I loved how this was written and I loved this story! I’m so glad I picked this up. Would recommend to the paranormal/fantasy romance lovers in a slump or who just want a really cute story with good spice!

**spoilers ahead**

I really wish I had enjoyed this more, as it was so hyped up online. I sadly found the first 60% to be a bit boring, and then was super disappointed by the twist and strange ending. I felt the book should have been from a different, or even third person POV for the twist to have made a little more sense to the rest of the book. I found it strange that we were in Jovie/Brynn’s head and she was confused by what was happening then are supposed to believe that she knew what was going on the whole time. I found it hard to believe that she was “one step ahead” the entirety of the book. I did expect there to be something that would go wrong with the romance, as she seemed to be hesitant the whole book, but I was disappointed at how the book wrapped up. If I had enjoyed it before the twist more, I may have been less disappointed. Sadly this was not for me.

This was a comic style book of notes from an author dealing with chronic illness. Sometimes very silly and a lot of times very relatable, as someone who is also chronically ill! This really helped me to not feel so alone about my bad days, and the days where I’m also stuck in my “sickbed”. I loved the author’s takes on the perfect housebound homes. A dream! I picked this up for the 2025 disability reading challenge! Would recommend for my fellow disabled people who tend to be unwillingly stuck in the house or stuck in bed frequently, or their loved ones who want to better understand!

THIS WAS SO CUTE OMG!! This was my very first graphic novel (thank you trans rights readathon for making me branch out again!) and I’m so glad I picked this up!! Once again, I am not usually a regency person but this hit all the spots! Super lighthearted, funny, and had me kicking my feet! But still hit on so many important topics, like the importance of being an ally!! I literally need everyone to stop and take a few hours to read this adorable YA story!!! 10/10 would read again!

I really didn’t know what I was getting into with this one, as I’m usually not a horror / thriller girly. But the trans rights readathon bonus prompts made me pick this up, and I’m so glad that I did! This was such a wild and spooky ooky journey. I was truly checking over my shoulder a few times! Would recommend for those wanting to try horror, but not wanting anything that’s going to keep them awake at night!!! I really loved this!

A very quirky and profound take on grief! This was the story of a trans woman dealing with a (somewhat) friendly, yet controlling alien invasion. We are taken on the journey of her life before the invasion, and how the world progresses after everything changes. Eventually, her wife decides she wants to be reborn as a baby so that she can experience life without the trauma of the world before the invasion. Though this was a quick, fast-paced story, it still was very emotional! Would recommend for sci-fi lovers, as well as those interested in a story of how someone’s trans identity affects them in a time where identity is being erased.
