What an incredible 5 hour audiobook! Thank you @libro.fm for this book through ALC.

This book was narrated beautifully and moved me. It challenged how I grew up and I am so glad it rocked me to my core. One thing I do wish is that it was longer!
.
Do yourself a favor and listen to this book!!

This was my second book read by Santopolo and it was really good! More than words was full of drama and twists and turns. The main character Nina grows so much throughout this book and those are my favorite kinds of books. I loved how Nina found more of her identity and stood up for herself. I loved learning about her family and how it affected her. This book was also a fast read with short chapters. ••••
This book was great for a buddy read and would be awesome for a book club

Thank you @netgalley and @atriabooks for this arc in exchange for my honest review ✨This book comes out July 21st!!
I read this book as part of the #bookishladiesgotbacklist and I’m so glad I did! ✨
This book is fun, quirky, a true book lovers dream and such a cute rom com.

I read this book for the book club I lead and I’m so excited to discuss it later this month. Beach Read was not what I expected, I had heard it was sad (and it was), I heard it was a romance book (it sorta was - enemies to lovers troupe) and I heard it got rave reviews (which I thought it was good but not amazing). I really enjoyed how the author took so much time to describe the setting and internal dialogue the characters had. I loved how the characters grew so much and were very authentic. ✨

This book had me tearing up and left me feeling like I wanted more at the end. I am excited to read more by Emily Henry because I really enjoyed her writing style.

All the stars for this incredibly moving, powerful and heartbreaking book! ⭐️
I don’t know how to accurately review this book besides saying that everyone should read this book and take the time to educate yourself on what this book is talking about. Just Mercy the movie is available for free all month long on Amazon and I’m going to be watching it with my mom this weekend.
As I read non-fiction books, I like to underline and circle especially important quotes or sections and I used my pen quite a bit in this book!
Below I’ll share just a few quotes I underlined in this book: ⬇️
“This book is about getting closer to mass incarceration and extreme punishment in America”
“You’ve got to beat the drum for justice.”
“Mercy is most empowering, liberating, and transformative when it is directed at the undeserving. The people who haven’t earned it, who haven’t even sought it, are the most meaningful recipients of our compassion.”
“Each of us is more than the worst thing we’ve ever done”
“The true measure of our character is how we treat the poor, the disfavored, the accused, the incarcerated, and the condemned.”
