Keep in mind that this is a CHILDREN’s book. I really enjoyed the light and fluffy aspects of this story. It was a heartwarming and entertaining father-daughter story. Again, don’t go into it expecting too much, but it was good for a children’s book. I love the bond that Zuri and her dad have, it’s adorable. Not many books feature black men doing their daughter’s hair, and I found that to be really interesting ❤️.

For years, I’d heard people talking about the Chronicles of Narnia and how much they liked the books. Personally, I really enjoyed the first one: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe a lot. I enjoyed this book a little less, but it could’ve been because I read these close together. It was really interesting to see how Prince Caspian and the main cast of characters worked together again to save the world of Narnia. It was really a solid, good read! I thought this series was overhyped, but I seriously recommend checking out at least the first two books.
