What a terrific narrative voice! This book--this amazing character--hooked me from the first chapter and wouldn't let me go. I haven't read a book this good in a long time. Eleanor is funny, tragic, irreverent, and ultimately a character everyone can relate to in some way shape or form. And who doesn't love a story about hope in the face of tragedy? So well written. I loved it!
Very enjoyable! Scaachi has a strong, funny, profound voice that resonates whether she's talking about her family life or discussing social issues. The stand-out chapter is "Mute," which discusses internet harassment and how she's had to deal with it. Very applicable to the issues of today. I really enjoyed this and look forward to more books from her.
