The main character was really annoying me... I’m a nervous person too, but I don’t make it my entire personality. The humor in the book felt like forced quirkiness and made me cringe; maybe millennial humor? It was just not for me. 

The author has some internalized misogyny she needs to work through. There was about half a page putting down other women for wearing makeup or putting effort into their appearances. I also could not get into the story or writing style, which felt very bland to me.
