Such a well-rounded and funny cozy mystery! I’m looking forward to the rest of this series!
I can’t say that I enjoyed reading this 😭
A well-researched and terrifying scenario.

“There’s a dead body waiting for me at home and I’m excited to see her.”
MAKE ME A MONSTER was a deliciously spooky YA horror reminiscent of Frankenstein and The Addams Family.
Our main girl's family owns a funeral home - I mean, COME ON - and she has just become their newest mortician's assistant. I loved all of the characters in this story and all of the heart put into it (I only cried a few times, okay!!!), add a dash of the dead and I was set for a very fun literary journey!
Highly recommend picking this one up!
Thanks to Bloomsbury YA for the early copy for review! Out September 30, 2025.

The audio of this one is amazing! It’s so well produced and the music written for it really brings the story to life.
It does read a little young at times for YA and even some of the subject matter, but that might help with getting even younger audiences into the story.

"The feeling that has been haunting me ever since we arrived, the feeling of being hunted, stalked like an animal, is growing ever stronger."
Two different groups of friends a decade apart. One mysterious, remote island. And one killer out to get them all?
THE BACHELORETTE PARTY by Camilla Sten is an extremely dark, locked room thriller that will have you thinking twice before saying "yes" to that girls' trip 😬
We alternate primarily between two timelines in this story - 2012 and 2022, following along with 8+ characters (some were difficult to distinguish as we didn't spend a ton of time getting to know these characters in either timeline), with a building eerie atmosphere during what should be a pleasant time.
I really did love how dark Sten went with this story (though it did take me by surprise 😅) - she twisted expectations and normal thriller tropes, which allowed me to really just be taken along for the ride.
This one will be a great beach read for the summer!
Thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin's Press, and Minotaur Books for the early copy in exchange for an honest review - out June 10!
