Romeo & Juliet meets Ghost Whisperer.
This was an amazing story filled with lessons in overcoming grief, generational trauma as well as discovering your first love.

Reminded me of No Exit by Taylor Adams & Five Total Strangers by Natalie D Richards altogether as a 1950’s film noir.
The twist at the end? WOOOOOOW I didn’t see that coming!!!!

This was almost a DNF for me, the beginning just didn’t catch my attention; then the double twist towards the ending just got me.
Seriously wasn’t expecting that at all.

I actually feel really let down that I didn’t enjoy this more than I did.
It is nothing against the author at all, I just felt that the story was stretched out a little more than necessary. There were times where I just zoned out and completely forgot what it is that I just read (listened to) and was a little confused, but then it would pick back up again.
It wasn’t enough for me to DNF, but definitely enough to really think about if I’m going to continue the series.

Thelma & Louise meets Romy & Michelle.
Narration was a little monotone which was annoying, but otherwise a really easy read if you want a fun story about an accidental crime spree ending with the realization that you’re in love with your best friend.

WOW was this one steamy. The romance between Margot and Olivia are just c’est magnifique and what I strive for.
The only deduction I could give is because Margot gets a little whiny about being a 5th wheel; like, we’ve all been there, stop complaining.

The relationship and chemistry are absolutely fantastic. Love the childhood crush trope.

Ok, drunkly contacting your high school crush (20 years later) probably not the best idea. BUT, if it leads to a killer romance that ends up helping your writing career? Maybe it worked out for the best in the best way possible.
