About the Book - Bihari boy Madhav, a Hindi speaking Bihari falls in love with Riya, an influential Delhi girl on the campus of prestigious St. Stephen’s College. Madhav belongs to middle class family, while Riya is from higher class and both have different lifestyles. Madhav proposes her, but Riya rejects the proposal because she thinks they are good as a friend only.

.
The book says the guy falls for a rich, smart and high-class girl from the city. Although the girl never fully accepts this relationship, she nevertheless gives a nod to be his "half girlfriend" - now what the hell is 'half - girlfriend' ?
.
.
Meanwhile, the novel showed some beautiful view of Patna (Bihar) and New York. I enjoyed mentally visiting Bihar & New York.
.
.
Negatives -
Chetan sir has done a good job in writing the book, but where he has lacked is - a emotional relationship between Madhav & Riya. How could he have written this book without showing any emotional connection between the two protagonists ??
.
Plus, I couldn't understand the entry of Rohan, Riya's childhood friend & her subsequent ignorance of Madhav. Seriously, Rohan comes in Delhi, woos Riya & disrupts Madhav's life - I was totally unable to understand this whole fiasco.
.
Another thing I couldn't get clear was the role of Madhav's mother in the book. She is a queen of a village in Bihar - understandable, Madhav's mother - understandable.
But, why the hell she was jealous of Riya ??
Plus, why the hell doesn't she want her son to do something good in his life ?
.
Then, you have a pathetic writing style of Chetan sir. I mean, the writer of great books like 2 States & Three Mistakes of My Life - this book is written in a poor way.
.
Riya's constant showoff of her high class, Madhav too much dreaming about Riya & that entire Bihar chapter - it made the book too much BORING !!

I'm giving the book 3 stars due to New York & Bihar being written in a lovely manner, plus the entire Bill Gates coming to Bihar episode, and the friendship shown between Madhav & his roommates.

The book is a great amalgamation of marriage, breakup, love, adventure, food, shopping and drama - all things churned into a single book. The book is a fresh and humorous take on Indian marriages, along with some heartbreak and drama equally depicted by the author.

Shweta is not happy with her marriage to Raj as he always ignores her, and sometimes assaults her. She wants fer freedom from him and is successful in it. She moves out from their home and lives in with Julie, working in her cafe. She has a friend in Max, another worker there, and we get to know that he loves Hindi movies, although he can't understand the language, he enjoys them. He also loves Indian food. Max tells Shweta about his wish to visit India to have a trek on Himalayas and attend a Indian wedding.

Shweta's brother is getting married, and her parents invite her and Raj to the wedding. Shweta goes to India without Raj, along with Max. His sister Neha joins her later on along with her husband Mohan and daughter Ria.

The book explores the journey of Shweta from US to India, and the way she handles her parents' pressure of going back to Raj. She slowly falls in love with Niraj Karthik aka Niru, her childhood crush and is shocked to know the exact reason of her marriage with Raj.

We see some anxious moments when Raj physically assaults Shweta and her father, and abuses her during the ring ceremony event. Shweta is helped by her brother and her neighbour uncle Mr. Prasad while obtaining divorce from Raj. She enjoys her brother's wedding and loves Niru very much.

The book is written very well, from Shweta's journey in the US to her love for Niru, the book has everything a bibliophile demands - the things I mentioned in the beginning.

Barring some grammatical mistakes and some sentencing flaws, I enjoyed the book very much.

Well, arguably, this is the best book written by Chetan sir, according to me. His The 3 Mistakes of My Life (I’ve read it too!) comes second for me in terms of writing. Although it is a loose adaptation of Chetan sir’s own marriage, I enjoyed every time I read it.

Krish & Ananya, a Punjabi & Tamilian respectively, are in love with each other, from IIM. Miles apart in distance and custom, Krish and Ananya’s love blossoms within the confines of their college walls, and what follows next is a journey of making both states, both families a ‘single family’.

This story is full of comedy, romance, emotional drama. From IIM Ahmedabad to Goa, Chetan sir has perfectly shown what it takes to impress your families in order to marry.

Full of twists & turns, it makes a long lasting impression of patriotism by showing that one belongs to a state called India first.

From the lovers’ struggle to make their families accept each other to internal clashes within each family to Krish’s & Ananya’s experience in Chennai & Delhi respectively, this book has everything you would expect in a single book.

I have read it endless number of times, and every time this book makes me laugh, cry at the same time. Everyone, from Malhotras to Swaminathans to Shipra Masi & Rajji Mama, has influenced me.

I enjoyed the book & you’ll enjoy it too, I guarantee.!!

*Sorry for posting the review so late! Was hell busy in college and some personal life shit!*

The best romantic book I've read this year.
Seriously, it is the best romantic novel of 2019 for me!

The relationship between Landon and Jamie is so sweet and beautiful. Initially, Landon ignores her, but a dramatic scene brings them together. Love slowly blossoms between them, and Landon is completely smitten by her. Jamie also loves him, but is scarred to tell her dad about it. The entire story changes drastically when a secret of Jamie gets out, leaving both Landon and Jamie devastated. That secret is sure to break hearts of readers and definitely make them cry. I actually almost cried out when I read that secret, so this book is that emotional in writing.

This book is the best I've read of Sparks. Unforgettable characters, simple narration, straight-forward dialogues makes the book too much enjoyable. Equal dosage of romance, emotions, drama and a pinch of comedy work very well for the book.

Definitely recoomended!!

10 people on a mysterious island entirely cut from the mainland. A nursery rhyme that leads to their deaths. Who killed all of them? And how?
.
Reading Christie for the first time, the book is the best work of hers I've read. Well, to be honest, this book is definitely the best creation of her. And what a gripping story it is! Full of humour, mystery and suspense, the book is a journey of ten different people experiencing death in front of them.
.
Excellent narration, tight storyline, and some mind-numbing methods of murder shown in the book are enough to instill fear in the minds of the reader. Yes, this book was so full of suspense, I was doubting every single character for the murders. I think the mastermind behind these horrendous murders was a psychopath!
.
Beautifully written, with suspense on every single page, this journey is full of some serious murders. ❤️

Definitely recommended by me!!
