Not in the mood. This is young adult and I'm tired of them.

This is part of The Mountain Mavericks MC Series. Need to read in order as they are interconnected. Very short novella, librarian meets MC muscle guy and instantly fall in lust. Well written, spicy and a quick read. That second epilogue!!! The author is a Self-Published and Indie Author.

I thought this story had more potential than how it ended.
The dissociative personality storyline had some holes. After a slow game of cat and mouse, the final chapters felt rushed trying to explain everything. The vengeance felt like a blip. The sister's storyline is completely ignored, I hope the author addresses her side as it looks like she was having issues of her own.
Still, it kept me engaged and wanting to know more of how things were going to resolve themselves.
This book would appeal to fans of The Ruinous Love Trilogy, Credence, Identical, or Into the Darkness series.

The author graciously provided a free advance copy for review, opinions are my own.

Given the sentient theme of this book I was not expecting much in terms of plot. I was pleasantly surprised to see the author took care to give us a believable story with characters worthy of our time, who had depth to their relationships. This book would appeal to fans of the DNF Bookstore series.
The theme contains religious characters who discover their love for each other. MMF relationship and adult themes.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

My Thoughts
This is a cute holiday story with plenty of humor, it had me laughing out loud on many passages. They have been friends since childhood. They end up forced to spend time together and sparks fly. They have a very witty rapport that manifests an attraction that has been there longer than either of them wants to admit. This book will appeal to someone craving for a MFC who is fierce but has doubts when she is near her family. A hero who is a golden retriever and not afraid to defend her once he gets out of his own way and acknowledges he cares deeply about her. The spice is a slow burn melody that reaches crescendo and sparks a little too late in the story, yet it is completely appropriate to the stage.
When he finally snaps after all the teasing, the spice is raw and passionate. Well written descriptions of emotions felt during the spice scenes.
This book would be a great dual narration audiobook. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
