I agree with the people who say that the 4th book felt like a better ending for the series. I just found this one a bit boring, the events were interesting on their own and had twists I liked but I wasn't engaged by the overall arc of the book.
What happened to fenchurch? I thought she was a great addition in the fourth book!
I think the series is still fun but it's disappointing that the last book was the one I enjoyed the least.

As always with discworld books this was really fun. I enjoy that it's weird and fun and silly in places but I still really get invested in the characters too. Really enjoying the City Watch books so far.

I found this to be a really interesting read! I liked the insights into the publishing industry and the commentary on how it works. Seeing June's rise and fall kept me engaged and I loved the ending. Only not a 5 star as I wasn't as riveted as I had hoped!

Okay so I was more invested in this installment than the previous ones! I liked Fenchurch and their relationship with Arthur, however the development was a little fast for me. But there was still cute moments. I liked the ending too.
However my only criticism is that nothing really happened in this book, I needed a bit more plot.

I appreciated the imagination it takes to write a series like this and its great that everything makes sense even with how weird it all gets. So it's a fun series! But... I just don't care about any of the characters and so I'm finding it hard to get invested.

This is such a good sequel. I managed to finish this in just a couple of days because I was hooked. I really enjoyed each characters POV and thought their individual plot lines were interesting. I liked how each existing character developed and the introduction of new characters. Some of the plot twists blew me away! The only reason it's not a 5 star for me is that some new introduced elements seemed so different from the world already established that it kind of took me out of it a bit in places. But that may just be me. Still a great instalment though and I can't wait for the finale!

I very much enjoyed this book. I found the characters to each be interesting so I was always happy to read each POV. The worldbuilding was interesting and, from what I have read in the fantasy genre, quite unique. The plot never dragged and kept me engaged throughout the book. Everen and Arcadys relationship is a real highlight and I can't wait to read more in the next book!

I just don't think this book was for me. I found the parts which centred on the actual kidnapping to be interesting, but as soon as the parts where Miranda would talk about her life and GP started I just couldn't get on with it. I just didn't care. The ending was good though.

This book is really fun, I fell in love with the characters over the course of the book, and the plot is interesting and moves at a good pace. Most importantly though I resonated with the characters in quite a few places and overall it just really warmed my heart.
This isn't a book I'd usually pick up but I'm glad I did. Thanks for the recommendation if you're reading this Chloe!

This final installment in the series is definitely my favourite. I think EJ Mellow has really honed in on what made the series so addictive in this book, I flew through it in 2 days. The relationship featured in this book is by far my favourite, the tension is just *chefs kiss* and I enjoyed every page. I'm also a sucker for a tournament arc and so was engaged by that plotline. I'm so happy this trilogy ended on a high.
