I've like this story the best so far even though I am also hoping that I enjoy the last novel and novella. I really like Nolan as a character - my favorite of the McClains so far.
I hated the proposal though but that's just my personal feeling. I do appreciate that neither of them want kids and that neither was forced to change their mind.
My prediction for the next book is that Sage and Neil have a marriage of convenience
Overall though I didn't have a ton of complaints for this one

Started off pretty rocky because I didn't like how Leland's first impression of Kim was that she's "not his type and not thick enough" I didn't really care for the romance and then when I realized who her son was I thought it would get interesting. Instead, his first scene made me hate him and then I stopped at the conversation that she had with her own mother.
I also hate that Kim blames herself for the actions of shitty men. I had a friend tell me what happens and it's for the best that I stopped when I did.

Graphic: Domestic abuse
Minor: Death of parent
The conflict is stupid . The stopping at a racist gas station does not feel needed. I don’t want racism in my romance

I'm very iffy about YA sometimes but I really enjoyed this! Will be continuing the series!
This was recommended to me and I figured I'd give it a try but I fully expected that I would DNF it and that's exactly what happened. I will never root for someone to be with their abuser. I just won't

I enjoyed this so much more than Go Deep. I knew from that book what Tasha's situation was and it was nice to see her story in full.
I absolutely love Cole, he's so sweet and protective and understanding and I love that. I also love Tasha but I wanted her out sooner (of course)
While I totally understand why it happened and agree that it makes sense I hated that the third act breakup happened at 91%. I hate third act breakups in general but at that point in time the couple is usually getting back together and I hated that.
Will definitely be looking into Rilzy's other work now!
