I was interested in the story but it wasn't holding my attention
I LOVE the tiktok skits but the writing just didn't work for and honestly I was bored
Started off pretty rocky because I didn't like how Leland's first impression of Kim was that she's "not his type and not thick enough" I didn't really care for the romance and then when I realized who her son was I thought it would get interesting. Instead, his first scene made me hate him and then I stopped at the conversation that she had with her own mother.
I also hate that Kim blames herself for the actions of shitty men. I had a friend tell me what happens and it's for the best that I stopped when I did.

Graphic: Domestic abuse
Minor: Death of parent
The conflict is stupid . The stopping at a racist gas station does not feel needed. I don’t want racism in my romance
This was recommended to me and I figured I'd give it a try but I fully expected that I would DNF it and that's exactly what happened. I will never root for someone to be with their abuser. I just won't
I am not a huge sci-fi reader so I was excited about this. I enjoy the concept however, I struggle with YA sometimes and this was one of those times. I would love to try this concept in an adult sci-fi instead. I also strongly disliked the main character and the choices she made because they were stupid. I also started to realized that there was a romance being set up and I'm not here for it.
I'm bored. I started reading it physically and soft DNFd but when my library hold for the audio came through I sent it right back
The ending of Furyborn left me feeling "meh' but also still intrigued.
Kingsbane does not need to be this long. Both Rielle and Eliana are thrown into these unnecessary and dumbass love triangles and I just can't. From book one Corien gave me predator vibes and even after the ending of that somehow Rielle keeps vying for his attention and cheating on Audric and its weird.
