Seriously, the way to my heart is a Maximoff. This includes Wiccan and Speed.

I've followed Jen Hatmaker on various social media platforms for a long dang time. I've always appreciated the way she approaches life, how realistic she is, and on top of that, how she loves people exactly like Jesus does. Unconditionally and wholly, no matter who you are. In fact, Jen and her husband Brandon came out in support of marriage equality and the GLBTQIA+ community, and they received a ton of backlash. However, it made me love her more than anything.

However, I never had read a Jen Hatmaker book but I had a few on my TBR for awhile now, like "7" and "For the Love" and after devouring this, I know I need to read them. One of the things I love about Jen is that she is completely open and honest, and if you are familiar with her voice, it comes through so strong in this. She's unafraid to show you the places she's screwed up and the things she's learned along the way. I really look up to her, and other authors like her. However, she even challenges that thought in one of the essays in this book, about how the only person we should be looking up to like that, is Jesus.

I'm not a mom of any kids, and I'm in my 20's and Jen writes from the perspective of a mom of many kids, one is even in college. The fantastic thing about this book is that I didn't feel like she was ever telling me "You'll understand this when you're older", it felt like she was leading my life group, sharing her life experiences, and talking about very common emotions. I found so many things that I could relate to, but also that I could prepare myself for in life (in a good way). It felt like I had a mentor of sorts, who was just really real, honest about her struggles, and wanting to help other women get to that point.

If you aren't a follower of Jesus, you will more than likely find something in this book that you can relate to. I highly recommend this book, and following Jen Hatmaker, everywhere, because her posts are hilarious but also right on point.

Really obsessed with Paige's writing and knowledge of Oz. Also, this was from a perspective I wasn't anticipating. So ready for "The Wicked Will Rise" on Tuesday!

I am lactose-intolerant and got a bunch of cookbooks in my effort to eliminate dairy. There are many recipes in this book that seem amazing, and so many that are also free of other allergens. I found many recipes in this book that I saved and want to make and can't wait to try them.
