Slightly better than Tithe. Deals with more mature themes but still has the YA, almost immature, narrative style characteristic of Holly Black’s earlier works. I really love Val, our MC, and the friends she makes in her adventure into the world of faerie as she runs away to NYC. Check trigger warnings before reading.
