3.5/5

Discover India: Off to Haryana is an informative, illustrative and entertaining read on the many unknown wonders about the lesser-known state of Haryana. The format of the book, loaded with striking pictures, caricatures and dialogues, is what kept me hooked on to this wonderfully and meticulously written and designed book for children. Although it is meant for children below the age of 8 years, I found this book equally engaging even for a 16-year-old like me. There is a decent amount of information about Haryana in terms of its food, history, festivals, famous personalities and dances that I never knew of. It is certainly enlightening. Young children will find this amazing journey, on which they embark, even more enjoyable when they solve the small, exciting puzzles and activities in the book after every chapter.

This is the first book I have read in this wonderful series and I would soon like to get my hands on all the other books as I begin my adventurous trip to the remaining 28 states of Incredible India. It promises to be fun!
