cried at the epilogue, take from that what you will

the final strife is my favourite book of all time so me not loving this feels,,, weird

saara adds a sort of glossary at the end stating many from the novel use multiple sets of pronouns, but only one set is ever used for almost every person. i had no idea furi for example used she/they pronouns because the “they” pronouns are never (or not enough that i noticed anyway) used!! which is annoying lmao

i will never like love triangles

i did, however, like this story at its core (also bonus trans m love interest!!)

also also tiny polyam mention was nice to see :) as an explanation/possibility

Ace of Spades

Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé

DID NOT FINISH: 14%

not in the mood for this right now :) will come back!!!
medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes

i loveeee the way this author writes, i loved the found family dynamic and as always the fantastic representation of different varieties and i really really loved these characters

i was going to mark it down because of an insta-love/lust element that felt slightly odd in the context but i loved the story overall too much so it only knocked off 0.25th of a star :)

rebel rising please come sooner <3

ALSO. would die for lily <3 she is an angel <3

read for bookclub!

very sweet for what it was :) <3
mysterious medium-paced

i love this series :)

the plot twist and darker elements of this one was sooooo unexpectedly good!!

this was,,,, fine

i think i need my romances to be less linear so this isn’t to fault the book, just personal preference

i didn’t enjoy my experience reading it, therefore, lower rating
