I’m not quite sure what to say about this one. It sounded cute and it had the potential to be a good story. But instead you get a great start to a story with a meet cute, then a time jump with an abrupt ending to the first story and a separate start to a “part two” story of sorts. But there wasn’t an actual story here though. It’s says 22 pages but the story itself is only about 9 of that. It felt like more of a prequel and was just very short.

Gerri Hill + Abby Craden = Perfection!

Dawn of Change follows the story of Susan Sterling and Shawn Weber. Susan is hiding away at her family’s cabin after finding her husband in her bed with another woman. One day while out for a walk, she comes across a stranger and her adorable dog. Feeling isolated and lonely, she invites Shawn and her dog, Alex, over for dinner that night. And Alex has a very prominent role throughout this whole story, as he should.

I just re-listened to this for the second time and it was even better than I remembered! Definitely one of my all time favorite books. I am obsessed with Delilah Green! She is this perfect combination of cocky and sweet, aloof and caring, lost and found. And I absolutely adore her.

Delilah is home in Bright Falls after a LONG time away to photograph the wedding (and all the pre-wedding events) for her high strung step-sister, Astrid Parker. Astrid and Delilah do NOT get along. But the gig pays well and Delilah needs the money more than she needs to avoid her past.

On Delilahs’s first night in town, the oblivious Claire Sutherland unknowingly hits on her best friend Astrid’s estranged step-sister. It’s not her fault though. She can’t help that Delilah went from being the “ghoul of Wisteria House” to a sexy tattooed heartthrob! Or the fact that Delilah Green is just her type. And besides…she needs a distraction now that her ex Josh is back in town attempting to be a dad. A good lay wouldn’t hurt either.

Eternally Bound is not your typical vampire romance, but it had a very intriguing storyline and I was heavily invested in Raelinn’s and Aurelia’s relationship. It’s a tale about forbidden love, with themes of loss and grief, conflict and rebellion woven throughout. And there is a whole lot of heat too! You don’t have to wait long to be pulled into their “vortex of forbidden ecstasy.” Check out this spicy novella for a quick and tasty bite!

Until You Scream was a spicy, quick, and very bizarre read that will take you to some rather…unexpected places. It is a dark, sapphic, Baba Yaga erotic fairytale. The 2nd person POV made it very interesting because it pulls you into the story, as though YOU are literally in it. MC did a great job of setting the scene for such a short novella. It involves some questionable consent and other things - make sure to check the TW/CW at the beginning!

I was very excited for this short sapphic Alice in Wonderland retelling and I really wanted to enjoy it, but it just didn’t hit the mark for me. It’s the prequel to the Big Bad Magic series, but the only sapphic book in the series. There was good world building for such a short story (16 pages) and the characters were intriguing. It just didn’t really pull me in like I hoped it would.

A short and fun story perfect for spooky season. You’ve got a Halloween costume party, a murder mystery, mistaken identity, a search to find the motive and killer, and an adorable sapphic couple leading the way. It was a quick and enjoyable read, but didn’t really grab my attention. I still look forward to reading more of the Jane and Kennedy Daniels Mysteries books!

A short and sweet story about a donut shop, a teen rocker trying to make a name for herself, an angsty teen witch, a snake familiar who loves donuts, and an accidental curse that leads to utter chaos and cuteness. It was funny and adorable with great graphics. I was vibing with it a lot. But then it ended super abruptly and left me feeling a bit unfulfilled. I do hope we might get more of Margot and Elena’s story in the future!
