It's amazing! It's awesome! It's wonderful! It's beautiful! It's stupendous!
Mark Twain knows how to tell a story. Little stories, elegant sentences, marvelously manufactured, beautifully written, and blissfully read!
That sums it up, almost unjustly. I wish I had a better vocabulary.
My god, what adventures the little kids of Missouri had, and how fortunate were they that their life was witnessed by this great author. He chronicled those anecdotes so beautifully and stupendously that one can't help but smile at the mischief, laugh at the jokes, feel surprised as the events unfold and establish a connection with the characters. All the while enamored by the deep meaning and education which Twain provides with his simple and lucid writing. I think this is what makes him such a great author, like C S Lewis.
Oh how marvelous it was while it lasted!
