This was a spicy quick read.

This was a cute book about two families blending together for a wedding.

Allende does it again! Spellbinding and beautifully written! Violeta was born in Chile during the Spanish Flu and died during the Coronavirus pandemic. The book is written like a memoir to her grandson Camilo - an excellent example of historical fiction.

I liked it because she wasn’t the typical investigator.

It took me a while to read this and I put it down a couple of times. Eventually I got into it and loved it. This woman is an incredible example of hard work and determination. This was beautifully written.

Loved the twists and turns.

A captivating story about what happens after tragedy strikes.

It took me a while to read this and it might have been because I was in denial. As a teacher it was hard to read. A coming-of-age story in which the characters are very deep. I learned a lot about the deaf community and hope to continue learning.

This was a beautiful story of two women who overcome huge instances in the journey to find themselves.
