The premise of this book was great but the beginning was sooooo slow! I pushed through and was rewarded with a great twist that *almost* made it worth it. The constant and unnecessary sex talk got old.
Monroe does a great job of weaving in info about turtles with the story without going overboard. I loved the dual love stories that couldn’t be more different to start with but ended up being so similar. Predictable but a cute summer read.
Cute beach read. A group of friends is forced to try new things and they work through the challenges with each other by their side.
I didn’t love this book. It was dull... mission action. At one point I thought it wanna as going to pick up and it just didn’t. I loved the idea of the ex coming back and helping the daughter with the college application, but that wasn’t enough to make a story.
This was not the fast-paced thriller that I was as expecting after reading the blurb on the back. Two women find themselves alone in dangerous situations and they need to navigate the world of off shore accounts to stay alive.
I read this book in less than 24hrs, I just couldn’t put it down! Amazing thriller! A group of moms that has been meeting at the park decide to go out one night and one of their babies disappears. What unfolds is told from different perspectives and the twists and turns will keep you on your toes.
This memoir was a great reminder to live each day like it’s your last. It’s the story of a couple whose life changed forever when the husband had a stroke on the way to their babymoon. The book includes letters that his wife wrote to him as he was recovering so that one day he would know what happened during those dark times. It’s a beautiful testament to a couple who had to prove the “in sickness” part or their marriage vows.
This book gave great insight on what it’s like to work in the White House. I enjoyed hearing inside stories about how things worked when President Obama was in charge.
