I got bored.

Jak was poorly written, his personality didn't make sense for the background he's given and I feel at this point the romance is going to be unenjoyable 

The writing style is very lovely but the story was boring and the romance had zero chemistry for me.

wowzers, the racism (just straight up hard R), sexism (don't marry women with a masters degree), and ableism (if you do, she'll have autistic children which is ~bad~) "its a product of its time" "they're not characters you're suppose to like" too bad so sad, the book is boring AND offensive. 

Really interesting stuff but I am just not built to read this kind of nonfiction.

It was sooo boring. The relationship and the world building was really lacking for me, and honestly hardly anything happens in this book. I was forcing myself to read it and couldn’t go on.

I was so close to the end of this book but put it off for weeks, that’s how honestly boring it was. These kinds of stories may be better told in comic form, or maybe other light novels of the same genre are better written... The characters were not likeable enough at all and most of the time I felt like the inner dialogue was just rewritten over and over
