Reid writes her characters in a way that you can't help fall in love with them. Landon and Casey are no exception, and I found myself smiling and silently rooting for them from page one. 

Although touted as a holiday romance, the holiday doesn't play too large of a role in the story. It gives the perfect amount for our characters to be soft and merry together, while still focusing on them and their relationship. 

Reid always crushes the found family aspect of their stories, and what better found family than a hockey team? The relationship between the players are always some of my favorites to read. 

Casey and Landon, though. They're precious. The grief Landon faces is handled well, and I really enjoyed seeing him process that with his family and on his own. Casey is a whole golden retriever who has never met someone that isn't his best friend, and their dynamic together is everything. The criticizing of Casey's intelligence toward the beginning of the book really bothered me, so it was nice to see it addressed a bit further on. 

Time to Shine is another hit from Rachel Reid and hockey and romance fans alike will be tapping their sticks for more!

If Scream and Mean Girls were queer(er) and had a baby, it would be this book. 

I started and finished it in the same day and when I tell you I could not put it down, I am not exaggerating. 

Messy, real, and relatable Cole and Dearie are the perfect unreliable narrators. I loved the alternating pov chapters and how they showcased how different these two besties were, but how fiercely they loved and fought for (and with) one another. 

Sass does an excellent job keeping the twist and turns coming, and I was on the edge of my SEAT so many times. You think you have it figured out, then, surprise bitch, guess again!

Sass nails the perfect balance of messy, horrifying, and heartwarming. You won't be able to stop until you figure out just what is really happening in this small town, so clear your day. I ate this campy, heart-pounding, thrill ride of a horror story UP and I am already excited to read it again.

I just really adore these characters.

It was so nice to check back in and see everyone figure out their next steps while still trying to maintain who they had been as a group. One of my favorite aspects of this story (and Golden Boys) is just how relatable it is feeling like you have no idea what you want to do nextor how to get there, but trying anyway.

I love the development the boys had, and the way their lives went. I just think it was a perfect way to end their stories.

this is the perfect blend of angst and fluff and i really love it. i’ve waited SO long for goalies falling for one another and this one set the bar so high.
