This was pretty good! It was nice and simple, with some challenging words thrown in. The plot was pretty cute but it moved very quickly. The detailed description of the matches will really engaged younger football fans and uses language they’ve likely heard through commentary etc before.

This was a lovely book! Very educational without being too explicit for young people. The illustrations were great, featuring a range of skin tones, ages, genders and disabilities. I loved how it showed the important items each ‘life saver’ uses in their daily jobs - I think it helps to demystify the work they do for children.
