You know what? This was way better than I thought it would be. Having real people in books always throws me off, but this was done well. I wish Julia Child's cooking issues tied more into the whole mystery, only because it would've been fun. But a fun time. 

So helpful and presented so well, which is unsurprising for anyone that knows her "Smarter in Seconds" videos. A great starting point for anyone ready to learn.

I love the characters but I just think there's too much going on that the actual plot drags. This is clearly a special story but I find myself wishing the plot would move forward a lpt.

Despite having an HP reference, this book was just as fun as the first. I really enjoy the main character. The mystery was so good! Definitely a fun ride. 

This was a dark novella, but I read the reviews and I agree with them in that there's a lot of big words. I felt a little dumb. It was still an interesting story, but the overuse of the thesaurus really dragged it down. 

That was just bad. This was not a dark romance at all. This was barely a mafia/sports romance. Just saying your characters are dark over and over again means nothing. And everything dark taking place off page? Every spicy scene was the same. And no plot point was explained. I knew I wasn't gonna enjoy this book but it was worse than I thought. 

A very fun read. The romance, and all relationships, were so good. I really enjoyed those. I wish the zombies, Ticks, were better described. But it's a nice read.

This series just didn't up being for me. There are aspects I can see why people enjoy, but honestly, I was bored. I was so disappointed by the 2nd book that I couldn't find myself interested in this book. There's was just too much happening and no substance to it. Wish I loved this book, but I just don't. 

The potential was there, but the execution was not there. Everything felt so surface level, nothing was dug into. She barely knows her love interest, her friends, or herself. She doesn't do anything to explore any of these relationships. The writing is lovely, but there needs to be more.

Some of the twists I wasn't a fan of but I still had so much fun! This series is just a blast to read.
