Cute and charming, but not gripping. Good for a casual read.

While I guessed the mystery, I still had a lot of fun with this book. The writing was so fresh and I love the fact the characters felt their age. 

Withholding review due to boycott

It kills me that I don't love this book. It's beautiful writing, but this storytelling style is just not for me. I'm heartbroken that I'm not in love. 

Just so much fun! A GREAT middle grade book. For me, the action scenes dragged a bit, but still a great book.

Great mystery but the dialog could've used some work. People from LA don't talk like that. And the movie names were not great. Liked the characters though and wanna keep reading!

I love the writing in this book and the story was super fun. There were some pretty big issues I had with it though. It feels weird that she's a student teacher trying to adopt a child from her class, but it's still heartwarming.

I can't do audiobooks where it's multiple PoVs with 1 voice actor that sounds exactly the same for each character. Plus the writing didn't really differentiate between the characters either. Maybe I'll like it more if I physically read it, but it's so mid.

I see why people love this, but it wasn't for me. Maybe it was the puzzle-piece style of story telling. It was moving but didn't hit as hard as I thought it would.

Ok but why am I sobbing? This book hit me in a way I wasn't expecting. The audiobook is a must. A bit slow, but a mother trying her very best. So moving.
