I do like the world, magic and characters, but that ending was so rushed. It was too much buildup and not enough payoff.

This had some Yellow Wallpaper vibes. I just felt that this was pretty slow though.  But I thought it had a lot of good things to say.

My biggest issue was this book was needed. The story didn't need a part 2. It should've been 1 book. Despite enjoying the writing and the plot, I just felt it wasn't needed.

This book felt like a lie. The summary didn't match the plot at all. There was no cutthroat characters. There was no real drama. I liked the writing, but marking down for not delivering.

I can see why this inspired so much. I was so enthralled and just really enjoyed it.

I've missed being in this world, and it's like I've never left. I definitely love how the world is expanded upon. I'm definitely excited to get caught up on the series again.

It took me awhile bit to figure out my feelings for this book. While I like the magic and characters, I struggled loving the book. I wish this was a duology. This book felt a little slow, but I still enjoyed it. 

This was so much fun, but that's not surprising. The characters and their relationships just warmed my heart. It was such a fun read.

I really liked the characters and the plot was interesting. I didn't understand the magic as well as I would've liked. The writing style was fun though, and definitely wanna read more by the author.

It took me awhile to get into the book, but once the plot started, I definitely enjoyed it. Sarah Henning tends to over describe things, which slows the story down some, but not enough for me to drop. It was an interesting twist on a story we know.
