THE POTENTIAL! I actually really liked the plot and characters and world building, but it just got too long and drawn out. Not to mention the chemistry between the main characters wasn't as strong as I'd like, but this was a fun read.

A book of love, mistakes, pain, and family. I'm so moved by this book. It's so powerful and so painful. There's so much sadness and generational trauma, but there's hope to. There's love, but mistakes too. Unforgivable mistakes. Everyone loves her other book, and now i definitely have to read.

Oh no. I went into this book expecting not to like it. I thought it was gonna be boring with annoying characters and a lackluster plot. But I ended up having a really good time. What a surprise! It's not perfect or great, but it's a fun time!

This story isn't sticking with me as much as I hoped. I was enjoying it but I'm not remembering it later. I enjoyed this book too but I know when I finally get the next, I won't remember much. It's fun when you read though!

Finally. Some actual good banter! This book was so cute, and I loved the slow burn. It got a bit slow, but the banter always brought me back in.

This was so slow for a thriller. There was so much of the normal life and not enough of solving the mystery. It didn't get engaging until 70% in. If this were my first Lisa Jewell book, I might not pick up another for a long time.

There's an audience for this, but I'm not part of it. I was bored and uninterested. The most interesting part was the historical aspect of the book. I have respect for the book, but I know I'll forget about it in a week.

1 word: disgusting, in a bad way. Awful pacing. Awful execution of what could've been a really cool plot. Horror version of Holes? Sounds awesome. But 70% of the book had nothing to do with the horror elements and everything to do with horny teenagers getting it on or wanting to get it on. I don't want to read that. I respect teenagers are hormonal, but there's a line.
Also? Why was everything described in a sexual manner? Even the weather. 
1 star for being bad. 1 star for being a good concept.

I can totally understand that this book would be slow for some, but it was a warm hug for me, and the addition of puzzle made it so much fun too. A beautiful story of found family.

Curse of the middle book was not defeated. Long. Drawn out. Repetitive. All until the very end of this book. Really debating if I finish this series. Wondering if it's really worth it after this bore.
