This book was awful, to put it simply. It's one series that I will never be able to finish because of how bad the first book was. I felt the author spent more time describing what her characters were wearing instead of going into detail about the characters.
This book was a total bore, and one I will never be able to reread.

I had so much fun reading this book. It was adorable and just kept the same magic that [b:A Series of Unfortunate Events|78411|The Bad Beginning (A Series of Unfortunate Events, #1)|Lemony Snicket|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327916627s/78411.jpg|1069597] has. I honestly didn't have any real problems with this book, or else I would have a lot more to say. I am just really happy with this book and I can't wait to read more.
That's it. My shortest review because I don't have much to talk about. It isn't [b:A Series of Unfortunate Events|78411|The Bad Beginning (A Series of Unfortunate Events, #1)|Lemony Snicket|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327916627s/78411.jpg|1069597], and that's okay. I would've been annoyed if it was [b:A Series of Unfortunate Events|78411|The Bad Beginning (A Series of Unfortunate Events, #1)|Lemony Snicket|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327916627s/78411.jpg|1069597]. I have that series, and I wanted something new. And I get this, and I am very happy with it. And! I'm actually excited to find out about everyone and find out exactly how Snicket came to investigate the Baudelaire children.

The Great Gatsby/Tender is the Night/ This Side of Paradise/The Beautiful and Damned/The Last Tycoon
Welp, it took forever, but I finally finished The Great Gatsby. Many other books got in the way, but I finally had time to sit down and finish it, and now I regret letting those other books get in the way.
First, I should get it out of the way that I like this book. It's always a lot of fun to read, though hard to get through because of the language at times. One of the reasons I was so quick to put it down when books by my favorite authors came out was because of that reason right there. But that is only because of the time period it was written. It is a bit odd though. There were times when I loved the writing style and found it fun and playful, and others when I found it drawn out and boring. Sadly the boring part won at. Hence me taking so long to finish it.
Now, I've never been a fan of those reality TV shows. Nor have I enjoyed listening to gossip about celebrities, but I feel like that's what this book is all about. Not feel. That is what this book is about, and it's the only way I could ever find myself interested in a topic I usually despise. I don't care about other people's lives, but here I am reading a book about a guy finding out about another guy's life.
Reading over other reviews, many people mentioned not being able to connect with any of the characters. While I see how that works, I found myself connected to Nick. He is just this nobody pulled into this big world. I don't feel like he and I are anything alike, but he's someone I can see myself befriending. I just like him as a character. Even liking the others as well. Jordan becoming a close second for favorite character in this book.
I do really enjoy this book, and I will of course read it again. Next time, no breaks though. Just going to sit through and read the whole thing.
