Okay, was nobody going to tell me that the ghost of Jake Blues appears to Ray in his dream just to tell him he made a good choice by choosing Stay Puft as Gozer's destructor form? Or did I just have to read that in the Ghostbusters comic books myself? Even my fanfiction-addled brain couldn't have come up with a crossover that poignant. It's like the ACU (Aykroyd Cinematic Universe) crossover of the century. Hang on, the cogs are turning...

Has a more devastating line ever been uttered than "I have always depended on the kindness of strangers?" I think not.

I don't really have any rational reason for disliking this, but I do. I just can't help thinking how much Louisa May Alcott would have objected to it. Maybe it's just because I am adamantly anti-Jo/Laurie, but I don't really think this book had anything interesting to say about Little Women beyond "Laurie and Jo should have gotten together". Also, I really disliked the liberties taken with Jo's "real" life intermingling with Alcott's. Despite this, though, the writing style emulated Alcott's fairly well, and it wasn't entirely unenjoyable to read.
