Pure, unalloyed fun. If you love the Ghostbusters movies, or even just like them, you should read this comic series. The individual voices, mannerisms, and comedic styles of the different characters are perfectly captured, and the plotlines seem like they could be something straight out of Dan Aykroyd's own head. Seriously, do yourself the favor.

I just love Steve Martin. I think he can safely be labelled a comedic genius. This book, while not necessarily an in-depth look into his career in the movies, is a sweet and funny series of vignettes into the actual experience of making movies and meeting stars, followed by a whole heap of genuinely funny cartoons that are just so, so Steve Martin. I don't know, I kind of loved it. This book a great way to spend an hour.

Coming from someone who is generally anti-Christmas, this is only Christmas story worth a damn because it's not really about Christmas to me. It's about wealth and poverty. It's about transcending your past and making a conscious decision to be a kind and generous person. This story has been adapted both well and poorly, but it will invariably be impactful either way. The short stories/essays in my edition, though, I could have gone without.

Adaptations of A Christmas Carol that I recommend:
- Barbie in A Christmas Carol (2008)
- Scrooged (1988)
- Last Train to Christmas (2021)
- The gorey-as-hell Steve Martin/Martin Short SNL sketch from 2022. Trust me.
