Eh. Kind of lame. Found myself wanting more from the story. Gerard Way could have done it better.

A pretty decent novelization! Doesn't depart too much from the story or mischaracterize S&H too much. Honestly, reading novelizations is my favorite kind of mindless fun and I will never apologize.

Vibrant and colorful and creative and so much fucking fun!! Gerard Way you beautiful bitch!!

Probably would be 5 stars if I was more familiar with the original Doom Patrol comics (but even though I'm not, this stood on its own quite well. I didn't feel lost. The best way to read it is to let it take you on a trip.

So much fun to discuss with the people in my poetry class!

I liked this okay until verisimilitude went straight out the window with
a forgotten dead sister imagined as still alive?? and a realization that she was never really alive?? some serious bbc sherlock shit right there.
I'm sorry this was really bad. The old people don't feel like old people and the child character does not seem his age whatsoever

Just as I am a Ringo Starr Girlie, I am also an Art Garfunkel Girlie. You cannot have the greatest triumphs in music without them.

This was so incredibly earnest and deeply personal. The vignettes of memoir interposed with poetry was a nice form, and I appreciated the photographs. Some of the passages made me exclaim out louds "Holy shit Artie". Most of these had to do with his and Paul Simon's insane homoerotic rivalry/friendship.

Also Art Garfunkel is unabashedly bisexual in this. We love you, queen.

I cannot believe the typeface is a digitized version of his handwriting. I can rarely even read the things I write as I write them. Meanwhile Mr. Garfunkel over here is a Font.
