The Headache is a book documenting the author's and other headache patients' struggle with headaches and their fight to get proper treatment. This book went through the history of the headache research and treatment. As someone who only gets infrequent tension headaches, I feel very lucky to not have the experiences delineated in this book. I cannot imagine what it is like to deal with cluster headaches or migraines. This book definitely help me to imagine that and was very well written. 4/5 stars.

Malice in Amalfi is the third installment in the Victims on Vacation series. I was getting hints of a proposal in this book but we're not quite there yet. Very easy, cozy mystery read. 3.75/5 stars.

oh i like the art, but i do wish we had more ethnic diversity!! isn't grover supposed to be brown??
the concept for this book sounded amazing, but i don't think i actually absorbed any information that made sense while listening to this book. i don't know if there just wasn't any interesting plot points or if the narrator had a really uninteresting voice. but my end assessment of the book is that it's meh

Work Nights follows Jane as she navigates being a 9-5 worker in a mundane job and her crushes on a straight girl and queer girl. This was a very stream of consciousness novel looking at ~7 months of Jane's life. I had a little trouble following the writing style as it felt very journal like.
Seeing Jane's conflict between Addy and Madeline felt like a quintessential queer person experience. Falling for a straight person who isn't able to commit but also having the option of a queer person who is ready to have a relationship with you. Because of the writing style being so new to me, I had trouble enjoying the book as it was basically just a laundry list of what happened to Jane. 3.5/5 stars.

The Last Tiger follows Seung and Eunji as they explore their feelings for each other while also fighting against Dragon Empire rule in the Tiger Colonies.
I loved how this book is based off of a real life love story just with magic added. This was very intense at parts but the story was very good. I saw the promo for this book a while before I got the ARC and i'm glad I got the opportunity to give it a read. 4.75/5 stars.

Locked Door was a very cute and steamy forced proximity romance following Nash and Cat.
This was so ridiculously cute. I do like how the romance was reasonable and realistically paced. It wasn't overtly instalove. 4/5 stars.
