This book follows Christine as she navigates a relationship with her stepfather. But everything was changes when her uncle arranges a marriage to a wife killer. 

This book did not go in the direction I anticipated it to. The arranged marriage and mafia politics were a surprise but somewhat welcomed. I do wish it had more spice.

This book follows a group of authors who go on a tour of Italy. When one of them thinks someone is trying to murder them and a body drops, the story takes a sudden turn. 

I really enjoyed the lighthearted and cozy feeling of the murder mystery. The fourth wall break near the end of book was so refreshing and it added a more personal feel to the book. Even though I enjoyed the fourth wall break, I didn't like the footnotes throughout the book or the references to pop culture as I felt it took me out of the story.

omg the political plot was truly wild. but i loved the varied poly relationships in this series. this one was definitely not like the others. 

also an aside, alternate pronouns!!!

This book follows the forbidden romance of Xave and Kaye who are step siblings as Xave tries to win Kaye over using dubious methods. 

I enjoyed reading this book for the most part but really struggled to root for the couple before the main conflict appeared. Introduction of the stepdad conflict really made me want Xave and Kaye to get together. The main thing I disliked was the lack of TW for the surprise pregnancy at the end.

This book follows Maggie and her niece Clara as they uncover the real nature of how the former owner of Maggie's house died. Kicked off by the discovery of a puppy hidden in the house, Marple, they find out so many dark secrets in their little town. 

I really enjoyed reading this book and would definitely classify this as a cozy murder mystery. I did have a little bit of trouble tracking all the different characters in the book and their relationships, but overall the plot was straightforward and easy to follow.

i don't know if i'm misremembering the first book or what but the subtle differences bothered me a lot

spice was meh. literally what does "he mauled my tits" mean

This book is about the story of Mason as he navigates the increasing police brutality against black people during the pandemic. I really enjoyed how it was written in poems as opposed to a normal novel format. It really added to the message and felt supremely powerful.
