overall decent book. spice was good and plot was kinda there

the beginning was slow but the buildup of anticipation really kept me reading

the beginning of the book really dragged. the world building in my opinion took way to long to grab my interest. once it picked up, I definitely enjoyed the adventure it took me on. also the sapphic love story was beautiful 

the writing style is interesting but i kept getting confused with all the lore. it didn't feel like there was an easy explanation anywhere

the spice was pretty good, though there was little to no explanation in that epilogue

damn the emotions were so ahh 

I started this in the hope that it would be better than the previous book. I was so disappointed. truly was very boring

absolutely fuck that plot twist at the end of the book. can we please just do a why choose between oro and grim. the plot twist is the only redeemable part of the book, it was very very boring for most of it when she was just learning powers.

ok so i had to revisit the lore from the blood and ash series to remember what was going on. but so so good. book followed the same pattern as the previous series for twists and romance arc but there were some things i couldn't predict. also absolutely in love with baby reaver
