just a little prequel, no plot

This book was about Adalina and Dante's story. The book depicts a very dark love story in which Dante falls in love with his hostage, Adalina. What really lost me near the end was the secondary confinement in the dungeon after he practically said he loves her. It simply didn't track with how the character previously acted and took me out of the story. Otherwise I did enjoy the plot.
