this was quite interesting to read but wasn't the vibe i was expecting
really struggling with the writing style to the point where i don't want to listen to the book anymore
i liked the quick reintroduction into this world but i want moreeeee
i knew this was a KU book and read it anyways. i was disappointed as expected bc nothing felt fully developed but i was intrigued enough to finish reading

god this was so much. i understand the character development demanded vin and elend's deaths but i hate it. brandon sanderson has a very interesting style of cycling the main characters so that it still feels fresh and you're not forced to stick with one character through multiple books even when they don't have development. sazed getting that redemption at the end though was so fucking good.
my next cosmere book is elantris so very interested to see how they all connect.

ok so the description is very accurate as to the plot being a mix of acotar and hunger games. but the romance, i have so many opinions.
so i could tell from the beginning that atlas was lying about lor being the one for him etc etc. but i didn't realize that he might also be lying about the exchange during the trials. lor is a little stupid not to get the hints about her being the heir to the heart kingdom but that's classic romantasy fmc for you. i was going to be really upset if lor actually believed atlas to the last minute.
i don't think im reading any more of the series bc lor frustrates me more than feyre did. also because i don't think the plot is as compelling as it could be.

super insta love but also wasn't written super well? didn't really like the corruption concept considering fmc is a poc and mmc is not
