The art in this manga is gorgeous. The only problem is that Claudine is misgendered throughout the story, and only Rose Marie sees him as the man he truly is. However for the time it was published this must have been considered a big deal. I hope more of Ikeda's manga gets translated, especially Rose of Versailles.
This really frustrated me at the beginning. I hated Forest and at one point I hated Claire. But the one character I really hate is Jamie for being a homophobic and racist piece of shit. Forest and Claire were kind of likable at the end, so this book gets 2 stars.
Valid arguments were brought up in this book though, such as women being considered crazy and delusional, why writing fanfiction should be considered real writing, and how straight is still considered the default.
My main problem with the book is that it gives the impression bi means two. I am bisexual and I am attracted to non binary people and other genders. So can we stop with the idea that bisexuality is limited to binary men and women? Bisexuality has always included non binary people and every other gender identity that exists.

This was so beautiful and I loved every poem in it, and I will definitely be reading this again one day.
