This is a cute and fun comic and the art is beautiful! I will definitely continue this series.

This was definitely a beautiful novel and one that will stay with me for a long time.

The language in this book is beautiful, but it got kind of boring towards the end. It was still worth reading though just for the way it was written and the fact that Jevick is a reader.

This was so good and I love it! I can't wait to read the second book.

Also I really love that Rin is childfree, because I never want to have children either. It is nice to see a woman have autonomy over her body.

The violence was very graphic and there is descriptions of women getting raped, so that might be triggering to some readers.

This book also reminded me of crimes people have done in real life because of racism and xenophobia.

Despite how long it took me to get through this book I still really enjoyed it.

I want to read everything by Ana Castillo. Her writing is so honest and comes from the heart. While I am not a mother, I watched my own mother struggle when my half brother was put in juvenile and later adult jail. This helped me understand some of what she may have felt at the time.

This book is incredible and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to read books by Latinx writers.
