Short, sweet, and clean (as it is a Christian romance so I know some readers like the distinction and heads up) story. I liked the whole 'story within a story' aspect which is what will make me read more in the series.

I did find some of the characters flew off the handle too quickly. Also Maddie for all of her pure intentions and desires was also very judgmental and with the wrong people. For example Ian was flat out rude to her at the beginning, which went along with the whole Austen feel and flair, but was willing to forgive him but she was so snide and (for lack of a better world) ugly towards Lanie's love interest Jeff without ever having met him. Lanie's reaction with the date debacle was overly dramatic, more so than you would expect from a woman of her age, and even though it was hinted at the romance between Ian and Maddie also seemed to come out of nowhere.

That being said as someone who has never really read Austen (I know I'm a bad English major) I enjoyed this spin on Emma and would read it again and recommend it for my friends who enjoy this genre. Waiting to pick up the other ones since, even though the stories within the stories aren't connected, the 'outer' one is and I don't want to spoil that for myself.

I *really* liked this book. Maybe it is because I am a huge fan of the epistolary form but I enjoyed the back and forth in tweets. I enjoyed the whole aspect of falling in love before meeting each other. I enjoyed the sweet banter of it all and ultimately how they were there for each other.

The one snag for me was that I found Abby's reaction to Mark's "secret" a bit like a spoiled child especially considering what the secret was. But then again I can even understand that considering the way Abby was and how closed off she normally was and for what it's worth her fit didn't last long so that made up for it.

I really liked this book more so than I thought I would. This wil easily because one of my "read once a year books" for sure and I am looking forward to others by Teresa Medeiros. ^_^
