I couldn't deal with the irregular grammar. I'm sure a lot of people find that aspect of the book charming, but it just didn't work for me personally.

Overall a good book. I really enjoyed the writing style, characters, and pacing. That said, as someone who typically reads lighter books, I found some points a bit difficult to follow, especially due to its length.

This was a good historical fiction read. The writing style was easy to follow, while the topics discussed and especially the ending was tragic.
