Lost interest but it was a great book! Would finish it when I get the chance.

Intensely raw and emotional. This book deals with serious topics with the care and realism that they deserve.

Super cute! I really liked how much personality all of the characters had, and how realistic they were.

The romance was absolutely perfect, the only reason why I’m giving this a 4.75 ⭐️ instead of a 5.0 ⭐️ is because of plot-related issues.

Maybe I’ll get back to this one day? This seems like something better read with a physical copy (also what’s up with the incest?)

I didn’t like how one-dimensional some of the antagonistic characters were. Also, it felt like the book was misandristic in its effort to support trans women.

I thought that Tella and Dante’s instant attraction to one another was really out of character for both of them since they themselves said that they don’t go after the same person twice. I thought that their relationship was insufferable. Dante felt shoehorned into the story at times because he only really shows up whenever Tella needs help or when the plot randomly brings him back.
I hope that they don’t get back together in the third book, though I find that to be sadly unlikely considering the epilogue.

Everyone besides Tella and Dante are super sidelined in this book because the story can’t handle focusing on more than two characters at a time for some reason; I’d also argue that the story can barely handle focusing on its own plot line with the amount of unnecessary scenes there were - you could cut out a quarter of this story and it’d still essentially be the same.

I thought that the Fates were a fun concept. Jacks is probably the character I’m most interested in; I think that his character is underutilized and that there’s still so much we don’t know about him.
