I don’t get it. I feel like there’s some deep symbolism in this series, but I just don’t get it. The story has been interesting, but I’ve just been left staring off into space after every book thinking “what just happened?”
Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to finally know what happened to Jonas, Gabe, and Kira, but there were so many other details that were glazed over.
Like what happens to Alys. Why don’t we get to see Claire say goodbye? What happens to the first village and the Giver? I know what happened to Kira’s dad, but there was no closure. I’m just left confused and unsatisfied—like the story was focused on the wrong things? Which gives me the feeling, maybe it’s meant to be that way and I missed some heavy symbolism and themes that wraps everything up nicely.
So I don’t know, maybe this is too ranty. It was nice to know what happens, but I’m confused still and I don’t like feeling that way after the end of a story

Very cute! The art is great and the story is easy to read. It felt a little fast-paced like I blinked and it was over, but it didn't affect the quality of the story.
Overall, I definitely recommend it for a quick fun read!

Great book! I loved the Spanish parts, the art, the MC’s struggles. Just wholly awesome. I definitely recommend it!
