*ahem* WHAT IS WITH THAT ENDING?

WHAT KIND OF COZY MYSTERY SOLVES THE MYSTERY WITH NO PROBLEMS?
I was so disgusted, it had a slow build. it went
- oh something is def hinky... -
- oh OH SOMEONE DIED -
- WHO WAS IN MY HOUSE?? -
- oh they turned themselves in -
excuse me? EXCUSE ME?

No. No. and no. and no. They do not simply turn themselves in with no issue, no chase, or future threat on the MCs life.
So it's a realistic story (minus those freaky cats, and that is me as a cat lady), person goes on a murder spree, panics and turns themselves in. realistic.
in a book? anticlimatic.

I'm so.. disappointed. I love cozy mysteries, I love the light romance and the witty characters.
But this? No.
Do they get better?
I don't think I want to waste the time finding out myself.

I ended up loving this a lot more than I thought I would.
I.. really disliked it in the beginning. The girl? Those self-esteem issue? That abusive mother? I had to force myself through the chapters.

But I fell in love with Alex, and the MC grew on me as she became less frugal. (tho her mother-issues needs to be worked on, and probably will in future books and I'm not looking forward to it).

It ended too soon. I was so frustrated at the end. Yelling at her to go kiss the other guy in the corner. But nooo!

I can't wait for next book!
