This is my favorite Jasmine Guillory novel, and I've read them all. What I appreciated most was how it deviated slightly from your cooking-cutter rom com books in terms of story arc. But if romantic comedy novels are not your thing, this will not convert you.

I’ve never been more conflicted in a review. This may be 3.5. Idk. I detest this book but not because it’s bad just because it’s filled with awful people who make awful decisions and I can’t stand secrets or lies. (I feel like that’s not a spoiler given the title?) It tore me up to read this. But it was also my favorite Emily Giffen novel I’ve read

WOW! Big Zelda Fitzgerald fan! I can say I truly despise F. Scott now, and Ernest Hemingway is a butt. But I guess this shouldn't be surprising. I'll definitely be checking out the Amazon series, and would like to find a non-fiction book about this group of creatives. I certainly want to seek out many of the books and stories referenced in this novel.

This was an excellent celebrity memoir! I was excited to give it a go, but it did have a lot of hype to live up to. This is not a life-changing memoir by any means, but it is a great story about how a woman finds her own way in life and how all of our struggles lead us to who we are meant to be. I really enjoyed it, but don't know if I'll be suggesting this to anyone else.

Okay so this is just not my kind of book, but I LOVED what it did for me. I needed a low stakes story to listen to at work and numb my mind and this did it! I still don't really understand what happened or what the point of these keys was, but I don't care! Also this was listed as a romance at the library..... that's just wrong.

I really wanted to like this book. I learned about aspects of the Great War that I'd never read about before, but I really didn't care for any of the characters.... It has further stoked my fascination in Russian history though!

Also worth noting, I listened to it as an audio book, at first I was super excited by the "Vilanelle" vibes in the accents, but those got old quick.

This book was well written, and the first pure mystery novel I've read. That being said, I don't think this is my cup of tea right now. I would love this in a tv show, but apparently not in book form. I powered through because I needed to cross off the letter X on my A-Z challenge for 2020.
