was so excited for some plus-size-alien-enemies-to-lovers and got some fatphobic mess instead. But I still liked it. Because I had to skip a few due to library waits this is my first where they didn't resonate right away which was refreshing. It's amazing for as how similar all the books are, they all have their own little twists. Also I'm realizing the reason I'm loving these is because no third act break ups... OMG! wait it all makes sense. They rely on the planet for plot and let the horny devils live happily ever after.... ugh.

I wish they could resonate without reproducing because all this breeding energy is getting cringe

It was fine. Tbh both the main characters just sucked and were dumb af. Listened while at work

Enemies to lovers and he admires her bad bitch-ness.  But also like "I'd burn the world for you" is a lot hotter in theory.  How we just forgive him for killing 4 innocent boys in his temper-tantrum for retribution when he thought she was dead... I'll never know.  Not that it's ever excusable, but like if that had happened because he thought he was trying to save her I think it'd be more redeemable.  idk.

hot. but like I also must have zoned out a couple times because the jumps didn't make sense.  But we love a woo-ing and a grovel and a masquerade ball with shenanigans in the garden.  And his obsession with her pleasure.

OH! I did like the way it ended and they wrapped up the series though. Didn't see it coming in that specific way and I dug it.

TWO IN ONE DAY? I'm as surprised as anyone.  This one was fine, but I did kinda cry at one point so there's that.

2.5? y'all know I love a suitor-tutor situation but having it also be like aversion therapy for SA-trauama? not my jam.  This has the most SA content of them all. The other two with big SA vibes may have been more graphic, but this was more constant and centered on a woman working through her PTSD basically.

Wtf. This book is emo af. I was not prepared for the slow burn to end all slow burns. In a way it was refreshing to listen to a sad queer book where the trauma and depression had absolutely nothing to do with coming out or their sexuality. But man they have it rough. Slooooooow burn. But surprisingly good. Maybe 4.5?
