wow. weird start but then I became obsessed? I think I'll binge this series
3.5? reading in the purist order so this is my first TOG experience. but it should be noted that I had read the first sentence of throne of glass so like I kinda knew how this was going to end. Butttttt like idk. I got super invested but it was also choppy to ready novellas of characters and a world I don't know. And for each to start and describe the last ones as if you hadn't even read them... I'm most excited for the healer story (Yrene) because that one is the only one that didn't tie into the other really and so I feel like she's going to come back and be fun.
It's heartbreaking. And like also confusing. fast whiplash.
LOTS OF WHIPLASH!
I switched to audio after starting the third novella because I knew that was the only way I could just binge this and then get into the rest. I will read the rest of the series hopefully. But I loved the narrator.
This is rambly but mostly so I can have some of my thoughts recorded somewhere for when I finish the series I guess.

wrapped up the series well. I think the second is my favorite. but it is taking all of my self control to stop from going out to buy it for my shelf.
Ugh I hate it when my dad is right. I really enjoyed this murder mystery.
4? 3.75? I stretched this audiobook out a bit and don’t really remember what’s all in it. It was basically following 3 main stories with side stories through the parts of fantasy series I care the least for. I’m hopeful that there will be more crossover in the final book 🤞🏻
3.5? 3.75? There were interesting twists and excellent narrators, but like I didn't care about or for any of the characters? idk
Don't want to say too much. But this might be why I fell off thrillers. A rough one to start my "thriller renaissance" of 2023

-best friends to lovers
-forced proximity
-pining
-he falls first
-1 night stand
-SO MUCH SPICE
-flashbacks but not a full dual timeline
-dual POV
-dirty talk
Audiobook was good but like definitely a choice was made to give him a thick Indian accent… nothing like a white man narrating a love story between a black woman and an Indian man

I’m so torn. Probably a 4/4.5 but I think if I had done the audiobook it would have been a hands down 5!
