I'm not obsessed with this book like I was with Lights Out, but I really enjoyed it! It reminded me of a Katee Roberts book (but like better?). COMPARISSON IS THE THEIF OF JOY!

I will be continuing with this series!

who knew I'd be into stalker romances?

Strong start but then it kind of lulled for me. The whole world and vibe was cozier than I would have liked, but it was such a fun and interesting concept. I loved that we got to jump between 4 character's POVs in this book, and honestly am here for more Joni/Octavia content!

It's reignited my vampire love and now I'm binge watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer!

Kate Stayman-London, you are a goddess and I will read everything  you put out!

thank you NetGalley & Brilliance Publishing for the audiobook ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Catherine Bybee has been on my list for years because my Thea Linda LOVES her. I will still go back and give the weekday bride series a go.

I enjoyed this love story and the romantic suspense of it all, but I found it a bit traditional for my taste. The love story was basically two attractive people are attracted to each other... and it definitely fell into some "traditional" (code: conservative) molds that just lost me.  Felt VERY 2011!!! Don't get me started on the cliche af gay best friend............ And the bad guy was so obvious to me, I wish it could have been a more exciting twist.

But I'll probably go back and listen to the rest of the books in this series because it was a fun listen for work (even though I didn't care about the couple at all).

This was so stinking cute and the accents in the narration were incredible! Netflix needs to adapt this into a rom com STAT! It's a cozy Scottish "fish out of water" ;) romance that will pull heartstrings across generations!

I could see the twist coming a mile away and that was annoying, so I'm glad I listened to it instead of reading it.

2.5

This book reads like a romance that was written in the 2010s because it hinges on a giant PAINFUL miscommunication. Which really pulled down the rating, but at least it wasn't too long! It was also very insta-lovey because of the whole one-night-stand to accidental pregnancy.

But bonus points for "awk-weird" just referring to her touch of the 'tism!!!!

His trivia-smart, hockey playing, dominant in the bedroom ass was fine even for a blondie! and she was quirky and working through her own trauma and baggage. I loved her found family and how they supported her through her neuroses but called her out when she was letting her baggage get in the way of her happiness.

Probably my least favorite HBY because it was super saccharine. But we love a cinnamon roll dom who’s obsessed from day one. Lots of mutual pining. Immaculate spice. Love van life. A really great example of anxiety and privilege coexisting and then feeling more anxious about being anxious when you’re so privileged. The mutual pining was chefs kiss though!!!

Y'all this book was so stinking cute! Casey has been telling me to try Mazey Eddings for a while and it wasn't purposeful, I just never got around to her.  It's so sweet, fun, and steamy! You know I'm a sucker for a queer love story set in the south, and dive head first into neuro-divergent romances.

only note: at Waffle House the waitress will ALWAYS write down the order, no matter how bad ass she is. It's how the bills work.

This is unlike anything I've read before. I definitely think Miranda July is a hard 4w5. This is a coming of age story for the perimenopause and menopause era. While the whole novel leans into the uncomfortable (for lack of a better word) there were parts I adored and ate up like fresh batch of spanakopita. However there were several elements in here that were generally misses for me. I think I'd appreciate this book more in about 15 years, but am grateful for the insight into a lifestyle and family structure I don't think I'll ever experience first hand.

Miranda July's narration of her own work was a masterful decision.
